“ I have a need of silence and of stars.
Too much is said too loudly. I am dazed.
The silken sound of whirled infinity
Is lost in voices shouting to be heard… ”

“ You can’t stop time. You can’t capture light. You can only turn your face up and let it rain down. ”

There were moments when the black river
put a yoke on all my powers.
I saw the small waters large
and the gentle shores steep and high.
Turning, I fought
and heard the waters within me,
the good and beautiful black waters—
then I breathed golden strength again.
The river flowed, rigid and stronger.Egon Schiele

Horsetail Firefall (via Wiggum03)
“Horsetail Falls is a small seasonal waterfall that only appears in late winter and early spring. It flows over the east side of El Capitan, so as a backdrop it has one of the most impressive walls of granite in the entire park. Then – only for part of February, and only when the sky is clear – the very last sunrays of the day selectively linger on the falls, lighting it up with a golden glow that makes the water look like lava.”
One of these days I’ll get to Yosemite.
I caught myself this morning holding a nifty pyramid teabag containing PG Tips tea over a cup next to some boiling water. You see, I’ve been making a cup of tea for this British man every morning for the past several weeks. However, he’s not here today, he’s away, and so no one is going to drink it. I put the teabag back in the box and used the water to make more coffee in my french press.
I first thought, “wow, I’ve got a tea-making habit now,” but I realize that this gesture, making a cup of something warm and reminiscent of home for someone who’s taken a huge leap of faith to be with me, is not merely a habit. It’s more than routine, it’s part of me now.
Cheers to always having a reason to brew those PG Tips. Nah, cheers to love. Cheers to having the life that allows you to love. Cheers to you, James.
“ Francois Rabelais. He was a poet. And his last words were “I go to seek a Great Perhaps.” That’s why I’m going. So I don’t have to wait until I die to start seeking ‘a Great Perhaps.’ ”

Please don’t wait to die to seek your “Great Perhaps” - start seeking it now if you haven’t already.
“ You are here for a purpose. There is no duplicate of you in the whole world. There has never been, there never will be. You were brought here now to fill a certain need. Take time to think that over. ”
